Elvin Siew Chun Wai travelled to Uzbekistan for the first time. Although it was a business tour, I decided to learn more about the local culture. There are so many countries in the world that one lifetime is not sufficient to explore all of them. I decided to travel to Tashkent, a place where modern architecture meets deep historical roots. In the country, you will find wide roads, clean streets and a calm atmosphere. Very quickly, you will feel comfortable. Elvin Siew Chun Wai said that Uzbekistan is a very beautiful place and then he decided to explore local markets. In the market, he could find spices, textiles, and traditional handicrafts.
Exploring the old architecture and heritage
In the city of Tashkent, you can find beautiful mosques. There are many historical landmarks as well. You can find that intricate till work is done on the structures, there are tall domes, and peaceful courtyards. All these reflect the deep architectural influence in the region. Elvin Siew Chun Wai said in his vlog on a very lighter note that all cities are not as crowded as Asian cities. Almost two-third of the population live in Asia and this is the reason that Asian cities are densely crowded.
A journey to Samarkand
Many countries in Asia are developing at a rapid pace and now you can find high speed trains in many countries other than the USA, China, and Japan. From Tashkent, Elvin took a high-speed train to Samarkand. It is one of the most famous cities of Central Asia. It was really amusing to walk through the Samarkand. I felt like stepping into the living museum. You will find that every building has a story to tell.
Food culture and local life
Uzbek culture is very beautiful and you can also try your hands on very special dishes during his trip. I was very excited to eat the local food. The people of Uzbekistan are very warm and welcoming. They are always ready to help. Elvin Siew Chun Wai said that now he has plans to leave for Mongolia.
